Our Service

We at J Doran Photography aim to provide the very best for your special day. Each package includes as standard:

• A pre wedding consultation by email, telephone or meeting where we can discuss your requirements for your big day. You will be able to view our selection of albums from the top album designers: Queensberry & Graphistudio, this way you get to see the high quality first hand.



• We also arrange with you a pre-wedding engagement shoot upon booking us as your wedding photographers. This is the ideal time to see how we work and a perfect opportunity to get used to the cameras. The shoot can be at a location of your choice. From this shoot you will receive a 8x6 framed desk print of your choice. You will also have the oportunity to purchase a larger framed print with a 10% discount off the original price.

• John will be your photographer on the day. We do not use or employ other photographers to cover our bookings so you are guarenteed coverage from John Doran.

• Coverage is from the bridal preparations to the first dance on our album packages from Queensberry & Graphistudio!
During the ceremony John will capture images whilst being discreet enough not to be noticed.

Please note: coverage of the ceremony is at the discretion of the minister or registrar and we ask you to discuss what they will allow during the ceremony when you meet with them.



• We will also happily photograph the groups, but we recommend no more than 6 close groups of Family & Friends. This is due to the time spent collecting friends from the bar or waiting until everyone is available for the shoot, groups can take time away from the main focus of your day and as such we have developed our style to allow us to capture your day and have your required formals with minimal intrusion.

• We will take the Bride & Groom away for some posed images where we will create some beautiful, stunning images for you to treasure for the years to come. These can be done on location around your wedding venue or away from the venue at a discreet location.

• We will also photograph the Wedding Breakfast for the much awaited speeches from the Father of the Bride and of course – The Best Man! This is of course optional as we understand that this can be a high pressure moment for relatives & friends who may not be used to cameras.

• Then of course is the cutting of the cake! Some like this in a traditional format; others like to spice it up by chopping them up with swords! We can stage this before the meal without guests being present or with guests. The choice is always yours.

• The reception is where we work on the guests! We aim to capture some fun images for you of your family & friends on the dance floor, meeting for the first time and of course congratulating you on your big day!



After the big day

• Your photographs will be processed to suit them best artistically by John and then added to an online private gallery within one month of your wedding day for you to choose your final images for your album. Your gallery will be sent to you via a secure link that only you will have access to until you wish the images to go live on our site ready for your family & friends to see.

• Your wedding album will be designed especially by us. This bespoke service is all inclusive and you will have a choice on the album design, cover material and layout to help us create the wedding album you have always dreamed of. You will be informed of every step along the way to creating your album. Once the album is ordered it will take up to 6 weeks for the album to be made. You will then be welcome to collect your album or have it delivered at cost.
